Martin Stewart, 38, failed to return from home leave and has been missing since Wednesday. It is believed he has connections in the Paisley area. Stewart was one of three teenagers jailed for life in 1998 for the murder of 49-year-old David McMaster in Paisley. In 2012 he was moved to HMP Castle Huntly but previously had six months added to his sentence after failing to return from home leave. A police spokesman said: “If seen, members of the public should not approach him and should contact Police Scotland on 101. “Anyone wishing to provide information anonymously can do so through the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
