Police are investigating an alleged serious sexual assault in Dundee city centre.
The incident occurred in the early hours of Monday morning.
An alley in the Seagate between Arkive and William Hill was sealed off with police tape on Monday morning with an officer standing guard.
One passer-by said his friend had been sexually assaulted in the lane.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “Police Scotland is investigating a report of a sexual assault which took place in St Paul’s Court, which is a lane that runs between the Seagate and the Murraygate, Dundee, during the early hours of Monday .
“Enquiries are at an early stage. we would appeal to anyone who was in this area late on Sunday into the early hours of Monday who saw or heard anything which they believe may be of interest to call us on 101 or speak with any police officer.”
