A 21-year-old has been arrested in connection with the suspicious death of a man in Dundee .
Police were called to an address in Brown Constable Street just after 9.30am on Friday after a member of the public raised the alarm.
It is understood the caller had raised concerns about the welfare of a man at the property – which is located in an area popular with students – and officers discovered the body on arrival.
Police cordoned off the road with investigators initially treating the death as “unexplained”.
On Saturday, police arrested a 21-year-old man but said inquiries were ongoing.
Detective Chief Inspector David Pinkney of the major investigation team said: “Our investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the man is continuing and there has, and will be, police activity in the area for some time.”
Thanking the local community for their understanding, he added: “We believe this has been a contained incident with no wider threat to the local community.
