These artist’s impressions show how a new US fast food restaurant in Dundee will look inside.
Local businessman Akky Hayat announced on Wednesday that he is bringing the chain to Dundee, near to the newly-opened German Doner Kebab (GDK) outlet which his family recently opened.
Fatburger was established in California about 70 years ago, and recently teamed up with Buffalo’s Express.
The Fatburger Buffalo will open in “newly-fitted premises” on Reform Street and dish up “gourmet burgers” which will range up to XXXL in size.
Akky said: “We are thrilled to be bringing yet more sensational foreign food flavours to Dundee.
“German Doner Kebab is now well-established and is a firm favourite among diners of all ages.
“Fatburger Buffalo offers an all-American treat as an alternative to what is currently available and we expect it to join GDK as a popular place to eat out in the town centre.”
Reform Street has been hit by a series of high-profile store closures in recent years and still features a number of closed shop units.
However, the street has seen something of a resurgence with Project Pizza (previously Project Pie), German Doner Kebab and Dai Pai boosting the street’s reputation as a destination for “foodies”.
It is hoped Fatburger Buffalo will be open by the end of September.
