Vans set ablaze in Dundee as firefighters tackle three separate incidents
ByJim Millar
Police are probing two vehicle fires in Dundee after firefighters raced to extinguish a burning caravan in St Fillans Road around 10pm on Thursday night.
Almost immediately, fire crews were then sent to tackle a burning removals van in nearby Scotscraig Grove.
There were no reported casualties, but police are investigating to establish if the two incidents so close together are linked.
Just 30 minutes earlier, a stairwell fire had been reported in St Mungo Terrace and a fire crew used one hose reel jet to douse the blaze and an ambulance was called to check on a female resident in the close, who was unharmed.
