Police in Saturday morning swoop on Hilltown street

Police descended on Dundee’s Hilltown on Saturday morning after a man and a woman were seen fighting on the street.

Emergency services were called to Kinghorne Road around 7.30am.

One witness said they dialled 999 after hearing screaming in the street.

Several police vans and an ambulance attended the incident.

Police dogs were also called to the scene.

It is understood a man has been detained by police and his flat was then searched.

No one required hospital treatment.
