Firefighters in Dundee have tackled a late night fire which broke out within a ground-floor flat in the city.
Two fire crews from the Macalpine Road station were called out to a report of a fire at a two-storey property in Murrayfield Terrace shortly after 9.45pm on Monday night.
One man was helped to safety by fire service personnel as they brought the incident under control.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said they requested an ambulance, and paramedics are understood to have checked over the man at the scene.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said they were alerted to the incident by the fire service, although no further details were available about the man’s condition.
