An opportunistic thief nabbed a woman’s handbag from a hire van after it was left unlocked for just seconds in Dundee’s West End.
Police are investigating the theft, which took place on Blackness Road near the Balgay Convenience Store between 2pm-3pm on Tuesday August 14.
A black jacket and black handbag were stolen while the occupants were moving belongings out from a nearby flat.
A spokesperson for the Tayside Divison of Police Scotland said: “Officers would like to trace a woman described as about 30 years old, 5ft 2 and medium build with dark shoulder length hair, and wearing a light coloured jacket who was seen in the area at the time, possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
