Three teenage boys have been charged after a “large disturbance” in a Dundee neighbourhood.
Residents in Linlathen called the police after a 10 foot-high fire was reported to have broken out on a pathway near Blacklock Crescent and Glenconnor Drive on Sunday evening.
The three boys, all aged 15, have been charged with offences including assault and threatening and abusive behaviour.
Others involved have been identified and are to be traced and charged in due course.
Longhaugh Locality Inspector Chris Boath said: “Following on from action we have taken against those involved in disturbances in Whitfield and now another group in Linlathen, we will continue to deal robustly with those identified as having been a part of incidents of this nature.
“Behaviour of this kind will not be tolerated, and we will continue to have an increased presence in those areas.
“I would again ask parents and carers to help us by keeping track of your children and knowing where they are and what they are up to.
“I’m sure that your children can be out enjoying themselves without causing problems to others, but if they do, we will deal with them appropriately.”
