Drivers are being advised to brace themselves for disruption as the V&A Dundee opening weekend gets into full swing.
On Friday, the 3D Festival kicks off with a concert by Primal Scream. This will see the Riverside Esplanade closed entirely from 10am.
That means vehicles will be barred from accessing the south of Slessor Gardens. The carriageway will remain closed completely until 10pm on Saturday night, at the conclusion of the festival.
Those travelling across the Tay Road Bridge coming from the west of the railway station will need to complete the “Marketgait loop”.
Diversions will take drivers north past the train station, along West Marketgait past police HQ on Bell Street, down North Marketgait and under the tunnel which runs under the Hilltown towards Olympia and the Gallagher retail park.
From there, only traffic travelling on the road bridge will be permitted to go westbound on East Dock Street, past the Arnold Clark garage at City Quay.
Those hoping to travel west from the road bridge will have to complete “the loop” in the opposite direction.
Earl Grey Place West and East, South Crichton Street and South Castle Street will be closed completely until Monday evening, with no diversions being put in place.
