A man has sustained head injuries after an early morning assault in Dundee city centre.
Police Scotland is appealing for information about the incident, which it is treating as assault, which happened in the early hours of Sunday September 23.
The police force is looking for anyone who may have been in the St Andrews Street area to contact them.
The victim was treated at Ninewells Hospital, but has since been released.
The incident is thought to have taken place in St Andrews Street or St Andrews Lane at about 12.50am.
A number of witnesses have already been spoken with and CCTV is being reviewed, but police would still like to speak with anyone who was in the area at the time.
The area is said to have been busy at the time, with people enjoying the city nightlife.
Officers would like to trace a man described as in his 40s and wearing a long-sleeved white shirt. He was in the company of a woman. No description of her has been released.
