Police say the death of a man in his 20s at a Dundee flat is not being treated as suspicious.
Residents on Marryat Terrace reported seeing a high level of police activity around an address in the street from Friday afternoon and throughout the weekend.
Police confirmed officers were investigating the unexplained death of a 25-year-old man but said there were “no apparent suspicious circumstances”.
A resident said the emergency services had been in the street from around 2pm on Friday.
She said: “There were two police cars and an ambulance here.
“I wasn’t sure what block they were at when they arrived.
“The police remained in the street all weekend. On the Friday, two men went away with police in one of the vehicles.
“Someone has told me a young man that lived in one of the flats had passed away.
“The area is quiet with a lot of elderly folk. It was a shock when I heard it was a young guy.”
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland can confirm it attended in Marryat Terrace, Dundee, shortly after 5pm on Friday October 19 in response to the reported sudden death of a 25-year-old man.
“The death is currently being treated as unexplained, although there are no apparent suspicious circumstances.
“A report has been sent to the procurator fiscal.”
