Dundee police will patrol a city leisure park following repeated complaints about large groups of “anti-social” kids.
There will be an increased presence from the force in the Camperdown area following complaints about the behaviour of youths, particularity outside the area’s McDonald’s restaurant at weekends.
Sergeant Lesley Mann said police had received “a number of complaints” about youngsters “causing an annoyance” at the leisure park – which is also home to a Cineworld and Dundee Ice Area.
High-visibility patrols will take place in the area as a result and anyone offending will be “dealt with accordingly”.
Sgt Mann said: “We have received a number of complaints of large groups of youths congregating and causing annoyance near to McDonald’s at Camperdown in Dundee and surrounding areas recently, particularly at weekends.
“During the darker nights we would appeal to parents to assist us in taking an interest into where their children are and who they are with.
“Officers will be carrying out extra patrols and working alongside community wardens. If anyone is caught committing any offences they will be dealt with accordingly”.
