Three men are due to appear in court on Tuesday following a Perth Road incident involving armed police.
The men, all three of whom are in their forties, were arrested on Sunday evening.
Witnesses saw police surround a vehicle shortly after 8pm, with officers appearing armed with rifles.
The men have been charged with offences relating to offensive weapons.
Further details as to the nature of the charges against them, their ages and where they are from will not be available until the trio appear before the sheriff court on Tuesday.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland Tayside Division said: “We can confirm that three men aged 46, 43 and 40 who were arrested in Perth Road on Sunday November 18 have been charged with offences relating to offensive weapons.
“They are due to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court on Tuesday.”
