SNP MPs have demanded the UK Government up its contribution to the Tay Cities Deal.
The Scottish Government has pledged £200 million to support projects put forward as part of the City Deal but the UK Government will only contribute £150 million.
Dundee East MP Stewart Hosie lodged an Early Day Motion in the House of Commons urging the UK Government to put more money into the deal, which was signed on Thursday.
Mr Hosie said: “I’m pleased that the terms have finally been signed. Many of the projects funded by the deal will go on to deliver long-term benefits to Dundee and the surrounding areas.
“However, while I am pleased to see this agreement signed I am hugely disappointed that the UK Government did not step up to the plate and match the Scottish Government’s contribution of £200 million. I will continue to urge the UK Government to play fair with Dundee and release the extra £50 million.”
