Armed police carried out an early morning raid at a Dundee property amid reports of concern for a man’s wellbeing.
Officers descended on Lochee Road shortly after 3am on Saturday and the route remained closed throughout most of the early morning while police attended the incident.
It is understood emergency crews from the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and Scottish Ambulance Service were also in attendance.
A spokesman for Police Scotland said: “We attended the scene after receiving reports of concern for a male. He has now been traced safe and well and is in police custody.
“Armed officers were in attendance but this was mostly to ensure the safety of the wider public. The call came in to us at about 3am.”
Local residents reported the road being closed beyond rush hour on Saturday but the spokesman confirmed the incident was no longer being treated as active by midday.
He added that investigations were ongoing but he was not aware of anyone being charged.
