Power has been restored to the majority of the 112 properties affected this morning in the Stobswell area of Dundee.
The power cut affected Chalmers Street and Walrond Street with engineers from Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) alerted to the situation at 8.40am this morning.
Engineers later identified the cause of the power cut as being an underground cable fault.
11 homes remain without power with supplies to these expected to be restored by 3.30pm.
A spokesperson for SSEN said: “We’d like to thank remaining customers affected by the power cut in the Stobswell area of Dundee for their patience as we work to restore their power as quickly and as safely as possible.
“We apologise for any inconvenience caused by the disruption to our customers’ power supply today.”
