A man got into a female motorist’s car after she stopped to help him at an accident site, police said today.
The man was arrested and will appear at court later today charged with various road traffic offences following the incident on the A90 at Glendoick, outside Perth.
In a statement issued this morning, the force said: “Police Scotland can confirm that a 40-year-old man has been charged with various road traffic offences after a road traffic collision on A90 at Glendoick at 7.50pm yesterday evening.
“He is expected to appear at Perth Sheriff Court today. It is understood the man got into a car belonging to a female motorist who had stopped to assist him.
“We are still appealing for that woman to come forward or if you were passing at the time of the incident, we ask that you contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting 3601 or 3641 of December 3.”
