A busy Dundee road closed on Tuesday morning because of an electrical fire.
Fire crews were called to East Dock Street, between Market Street and Broughty Ferry Road, around 10.40am.
Tayside Police Division said: “A section of East Dock Street in Dundee, between Market Street and Broughty Ferry Road is closed due to an electrical fire.
“We’ll try and keep you updated as best we can – this may be for some time, and the exact section of the road which is closed may change.
“Please try and avoid the area if you can, and expect heavier traffic on Broughty Ferry Road due to local diversions.”
The road was reopened just before noon.
The incident comes less than six months after an electrical explosion brought traffic to a standstill in the Greenmarket area of Dundee.
Nearby buildings were also evacuated during the July incident.
