Woman dies after collapsing in Overgate Centre

A woman died after collapsing in a Dundee shopping mall on Sunday.

Emergency services were called to the Overgate Centre shortly after 2pm.

It is understood the woman, who was in her 70s, collapsed near to the William Gardiner Square entrance of the centre.

Paramedics attended the incident but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

One witness said several shoppers were “visibly distressed” after seeing the woman fall.

Another said: “I didn’t really see what happened. I just know that the woman fell over.”

There are no suspicious circumstances.
