Hundreds of spectators turned out to see some of the UK’s top figure skaters show off their moves at the annual Dundee Christmas ice show at the weekend.
This year’s extravaganza, The Greatest Show On Ice, was based on the 1952 American film The Greatest Show On Earth and featured a cast of circus-inspired characters.
Saturday’s show marked a departure from the Disney and Pixar storylines and costumes, which are traditionally a staple of the Christmas performance.
Two sell-out events were held, at noon and 4pm, with people of all ages filling the stands including families and groups such as the Brownies.
Organised by Dundee Ice Skating Club and Ice Coaching Elite, the event has become a regular fixture on the city’s social calendar.
The show featured three-time British senior ladies champion Natasha MacKay, who qualified for the European Championships this month, as well as 2014-15 senior ladies champion Karly Robertson, the reserve for the Europeans.
