Police are investigating after a woman was reportedly assaulted at a Dundee footbridge.
The woman is said to have been targeted by a man at the south side of the Kingsway East crossing, next to Old Craigie Road, between 7.30pm and 8pm on Wednesday.
Two women who came to her assistance are being sought by officers.
The pair stopped the car they were in and took the woman away from the area, before dropping her at a safe location.
A police spokesman said: “Police Scotland is appealing for information about an incident which happened beside the pedestrian footbridge over Kingsway East, Dundee, between 7.30pm – 8pm on Wednesday 16th January.
“A woman was allegedly assaulted by a man near the bottom of the stairs on the south side of the footbridge, near to Old Craigie Road.
“We are following positive lines of inquiry regarding the incident, however officers are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.
“In particular, we would like to trace two women who stopped their car and assisted the victim by taking her away from the area and dropping her at a safe location.
