Queues formed out the door as an American burger chain’s first restaurant in Scotland officially opened in Dundee.
Fatburger and Buffalo’s Express on Reform Street has gone down a hit after welcoming locals for the first time on Tuesday morning.
Large queues formed during the lunchtime rush at the new restaurant, which has opened up opposite McDonalds.
It is Scotland’s first Fatburger takeaway restaurant.
The menu includes triple and “quad” burgers, chicken wings and a milkshakes.
Akky Hayat – director of FB Scotland, the firm which runs the Dundee Fatburger – said: “There’s been a good response to it. I was a bit nervous but since 11am it has been full and feedback has been great, the staff have performed well after intense three weeks of training.

“What we have done is, on the menu, added a menu of wings which are proving quite popular, with 13 different kinds of sauces ranging from mild to hot.

“We have been queued out the door three or four times, and we had 70 people in at once.
“A lot of people are coming in, families as well, and a lot of take-out customers. We’re proving quite popular.”
The Fatburger brand was established in southern California around 70 years ago.
