A Broughty Ferry road has been partially blocked after a car crashed into the back of a parked work van.
Police were called to the scene on Strathmore Street in Barnhill at around 10am after a grey Mercedes collided with a white commercial vehicle.
It is understood there are no serious injuries as a result of the crash and there was reportedly no passengers or driver in the van at the time of the incident.
The road is partially blocked with no access for buses but recovery has been arranged for the vehicles.
An eyewitness said: “I got there shortly after 10am and the occupants of the Mercedes were in the back of the ambulance.
“It was a young male and female, and the female looked quite shaken.
“I was told that the Mercedes went into the back of the van and it shunted about a van-length down the road. It looked like it went straight into it.”
Bus firm Xplore Dundee said its routes had been disrupted as a result of the crash and confirmed services 5, 9/10 are being diverted via Montague Street and Hamilton Street.

A spokesman for Police Scotland confirmed officers were on the scene but said there were no injuries reported.
He added: “The road has been partially blocked but recovery has been arranged. After we clear the vehicles, the road should reopen again fully but for the moment buses can’t get through.”
