(18:50 12/02/2019) — Tay Road Bridge (@tay_road_bridge) February 12, 2019 Traffic was at a standstill at both ends of the bridge and police, the coastguard and an ambulance were on the scene from 6.20pm. On the Dundee side, heavy congestion was queuing up from the slip road back to East Dock Street, Blackscroft and East Marketgait. A lifeboat was also put in place under the Tay Road Bridge on the city side. A police spokesman said the bridge was closed in both directions following concern for the well-being of a female. It is understood officers spoke with the woman on the bridge. She was eventually passed into the waiting care of medical staff.
