Schools and community groups got together in Dundee on Friday to mark the start of their involvement in Oor Wullie’s BIG Bucket Trail.
As part of the nationwide public art project, schools and groups are being given the chance to design and decorate a mini version of the sculptures that will hit the streets of Scotland’s five main cities this summer.
The event, held at DC Thomson’s headquarters, home of Oor Wullie, saw The ARCHIE Foundation charity present to teachers and community group leaders about just how their involvement with the trail will benefit sick children in Dundee.
There as also be a presentation by Annie Loughrin, creative, learning and special project manager at Wild in Art, one of the trail partners, who provided tips on how to inspire children.
Once the schools have painted their statues, they will form part of a mini trail running at the same time as the main trail from July to September this year.
