An 83-year-old man was assaulted and robbed on a Dundee street in broad daylight.
Police are investigating following the shocking incident on Canning Street on Wednesday at about 1.30pm.
He was followed from a bus stop on Harcourt Street and a “four figure sum” of money was stolen from him.
The OAP was not injured but was left “badly shaken”.
Police are seeking a man described as about 6ft tall, slim, roughly 30-years-old and with a grey beard. He was wearing black trousers, a black top and a woollen cap.
The man was seen running along the footpath next to the Moncur Crescent play park, which leads to Marryat Street.
A Tayside Police Division statement reads: “Anyone with any information should contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting CR/5946/19 or speak to any police officers.
