A man was rescued from the River Tay using a ladder just after midnight on Wednesday morning.
The male was spotted in the water near to the Bridgeview Station Restaurant with police, ambulance, fire crews and lifeboat crews all rushing to the scene.
Firefighters used a 9m ladder to rescue the man who had reached a muddy area near the edge of the water.
A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said two crews from Blackness Road were mobilised to the scene.
He added: “The male was spotted at the base of the river wall and not in the water when the crews arrived.
“He was helped out from the mud using a 9m ladder.”
A police spokesperson added that the male was taken to hospital to be treated following the rescue.
