The nine-strong team from Carnoustie Golf Hotel walked between the towns’ lifeboat stations in six hours. The RNLI is the hotel’s designated charity this year and the team also sold lifeboat items at a stall in the hotel to boost the fund. Lisa Moore, 40, reservation agent at the hotel, said: “It was a personal challenge for me and it was really good. “We are not sure how much we have raised yet as sponsorship is still coming in. “We are very proud of doing it and my legs were tired at the end.” Murray Brown, coxswain of Broughty Ferry lifeboat, said: “We are very proud of them for doing the challenge. “The lifeboat crews get the glory for going out to rescue people but we rely on people to fundraise for us and this group are heroes too.”
