Dundee is popping the cork on its first-ever Prosecco festival this weekend.
The two-day event, organised by Dundee firm DD1 Events, will be held at the city’s Bonar Hall from Friday.
The following day, doors will open for an afternoon of sampling over 20 types of Proseccos, Cavas, Champagnes and sparkling wines from around the world.
There will also be performances from live bands at each session.
Around 300 people are expected to attend the Fizz Club festival.
A spokeswoman said: “We’ve seen gin and beer festivals, they’ve been done before, but never a Prosecco festival.
“This is a new idea for Dundee and something fresh. We’re going to have Prosecco cocktails as well as over 20 bubblies from around the world, as well as some close to home.”
The event starts at 6.30pm on Friday evening and runs on Saturday afternoon and evening.
Tickets cost £15 and can be purchased from www.thefizzclub.co.uk
