A Dundee pub will close its doors this weekend less than a year after its opening.
The Wild Rover on Perth Road has announced it will cease trading as of Saturday.
The venue, which is operated by Fuller Thomson, opened last year after the closure of The Mayfly in July 2018. It was owned by the same company.
Management say they hope to lease the premises to a “dynamic operator who can maximise the potential of the site”.
A post on the Wild Rover’s Facebook page reads: “It is with regret that we are closing Wild Rover at the end of this week. We will be open on Friday, June 28 from 3pm and Saturday, June 29 from noon to honour existing bookings.
“We have taken the decision to cease trading with a view to leasing the premises to a dynamic operator who can maximise the potential of the site, taking full advantage of its fantastic location directly opposite the College of Art.
“We will be contacting all customers with future bookings to make alternative arrangements. In the meantime, we’d like to thank all of our staff for their hard work and all of our customers for their support.”
