A Dundee boy has won a legion of new fans for his performance on The Voice Kids UK.
Jack Martin, 12, performed Gabrielle Aplin’s Please Don’t Say You Love Me in front of star judges Will.i.am, Jessie J, Danny Jones and Pixie Lott.
Sadly his rendition was unable to persuade any of them to turn around, which is required to progress to the next stage, but he won lots of praise on social media.
Yvonne Reilly wrote: “I’ve watched and had the privilege of being in jacks company whiles he sings and each time I get tears in my eyes boy is a super star belongs on the stage.”
Edith Burns posted on Jack’s Facebook page: “Don’t give up your dreams they will come and go back next year.”
Andrea Gibson-Mills added: “You should’ve got through.”
