Foxlake Dundee is hosting a family-fun day this weekend to raise funds for charity.
The water sports attraction will also celebrate its first anniversary in the Sunday event, which will see a proportion of profits go to Action for Children.
There will be free taster sessions on Ringo Rides, Stand Up Paddle Boarding and SUP Yoga while 50% of the amount paid for discounted wakeboarding sessions will go to the charity.
Pro rider demonstrations will also take place throughout the day, alongside a DJ, Wild Fire Pizzas pop up, a ‘Big Air Wakeboard’ competition and various special deals and prizes.
The City Quay facility opened in July last year and recently announced its aqua park had doubled in size for the summer.
Callum Mark, director of Foxlake Dundee, said: “We are delighted to be expanding our aqua park on the waterfront of Dundee, which has been a huge hit with locals and tourists since we launched last year.
“To celebrate the anniversary and as a thank you to everyone who has supported us for the last year, we are hosting a special family fun day to raise funds for Action for Children.
“Whether visitors drop in during the day to take part in our activities or to watch the pro riders, it’s guaranteed to be a great family fun day out and a fantastic opportunity to raise funds for an incredible charity at the same time.”
Stuart Laurie, Action for Children’s community fundraiser, Scotland, said: “Action for Children are delighted to be the beneficiary of Foxlake Dundee’s fun day.
“We would like to extend a huge thank you to them on behalf of all the families, children and young people we support across Dundee and we would encourage anyone to head along and experience some of the exhilarating activities on offer on July 7.
“Whether it be supporting young people in to their own accommodation through our youth housing service, or helping under 5’s get ready for school at our families service, we are providing much needed support to those who need it most in the area.
“Thank you to Foxlake and their patrons for being a part of that and we hope everyone who attends the fun day has a fantastic time.”
