Dundee City Square has been completely transformed after a huge inflatable dome arrived outside the Caird Hall.
The luminarium, a huge sensory maze, has been set up as part of the Dundee Summer Streets Festival.
Set-up on the miracoco luminarium, which is made up of 12 “outer domes” inspired by the Lotus Temple in Dehli, India, began on Thursday morning at about 9am and lasted for more than an hour.
The Courier has put together timelapse footage showing the 182ft x 105ft structure being put in place.
Described as individual worlds “apart from the normal and everyday”, the “luminaria” are inspired by Islamic and Gothic architecture.
The amazing domes – an immersive environment of colour, light and sound – are created by Architects of Air as a sensory experience for people of all ages to enjoy.
The Dundee luminarium will be open from Saturday, July 20 to Sunday, July 21.
