Lifeboat crews rushed to rescue a fully clothed swimmer who jumped in the Tay near Dundee’s V&A museum.
Two RNLI crews from Broughty Ferry launched just before 5pm after receiving reports that a person had entered the water in an attempt to swim to Fife.
He was rescued and received treatment from paramedics.
A spokesperson for Broughty Ferry Inshore Lifeboat (ILB) said: “The ILB quickly located the person in the water and extracted them into the ILB.
“After a quick assessment from the ILB crew the casualty was transported over to the ALB (all weather boat) for further treatment and transported back to the lifeboat station where the casualty was handed into the care of paramedics from the Scottish Ambulance Service.”
