A serial Stobswell car vandal has struck again at the weekend, prompting police to appeal for help in finding the culprit.
Police say they have received at least a dozen reports of deliberate damage to cars last Tuesday and Wednesday in Erskine Street, Morgan Street, and Cardean Street, as well as in Baxter Park Terrace and Park Avenue at the weekend.
It adds to a number of other similar crimes in the area reported by The Courier in mid July.
Last week, The Courier revealed CCTV footage, above this article, showing a man outside Cardean Street funeral directors James Ashton and Son.
A spokesperson for Police Scotland said: “At the moment we are considering all of these crimes to be linked, and we are following a positive line of enquiry.
“We would like to ask anyone who lives in the Stobswell area who thinks their car may have been deliberately damaged but have not yet contacted us to do so, and ask other residents, particularly in the streets mentioned, to check their cars for any damage.
“If you have any information that could assist our enquiries, please call 101 or speak with any police officer. Also, information can be given anonymously through Crime Stoppers on 0800 555 111. Our reference is CR/20387/19.”
