A road in Dundee was closed off amid reports of a gas leak.
Provost Road in the Stobswell area was closed from the junction with Clepington Road at around 6.45pm on Thursday.
Police said no residents were evacuated.
However, the public was asked to avoid the area.
It is understood gas engineers attended the scene and spoke to residents.
Tayside Police Division said on Facebook: “Police Scotland officers are currently assisting other services regarding a gas leak in the area of Provost Road, Dundee.
“As a result Provost Road, at its junction with Clepington Road, is closed to all vehicular traffic until further notice.
“The public are asked to avoid the area and seek an alternative route. There is no indication when the road will be reopened.”
By around 9.30pm police were stood down and the road was expected to be reopened.
