A teenager who admitted the reset of a mobile phone has been told by a sheriff that the court’s patience with him is “wearing thin”.
Sean Speed, 19, of Lawton Terrace, Dundee, appeared at Forfar Sheriff Court where he pled guilty to the offence which happened on October 4 last year, while on bail.
The court heard Speed and another man were searched in the car park of Forfar’s McDonald’s restaurant following a tip-off to police, and the phone, which Speed knew to be stolen, was discovered.
Sheriff Gregor Murray ordered him to carry out 100 hours of unpaid work and imposed a three-month tag confining Speed to his home from 7pm to 7am.
