Dundee City Council has released a map showing which roads will be closed for this weekend’s DunDee 80s event.

Classic synth-pop coupled with blue-eyed soul will be on order when ABC, Hue And Cry, Midge Ure, China Crisis and Go West roll back the years for the latest Slessor Gardens open-air extravaganza.

The event takes place on Saturday night but some roads are already closed and won’t reopen until Tuesday next week.

The map above, taken from a council tweet, highlights the following closures:

Early Grey Place West, Earl Grey Place East, South Crichton Street and South Castle Street closed at 7am on Wednesday, reopening at 7pm on Tuesday August 27. There are no planned diversions.

Dock Street, from Whitehall Crescent to Commercial Street, will be closed from Saturday August 24 from 2pm until Sunday August 25 at 4am. The diverted route takes in Whitehall Crescent, Whitehall Street and High Street.

Thomson Avenue will be closed eastbound, from its junction with Riverside Drive, from 2pm on Saturday until 4am on Sunday. The diverted route takes in South Marketgait, West Marketgait, North Marketgait and East Marketgait.

South Union street will be closed, from its junction with Marketgait and Union Street, from 2pm on Saturday until 4am on Sunday. There are no planned diversions.
