A 29-year-old man has been charged in connection with a robbery at a newsagents in Dundee. Court Street News in the Hilltown was robbed at around 7am on Wednesday. A store worker was injured in the incident and was taken to Ninewells Hospital for treatment. His courage was hailed by the shop owner. Rao Saim said the employee was “very brave” and described him as a “hero”. Detective Inspector Kevin Johnstone of Dundee CID previously described it as a “distressing incident” for the staff member involved. The man charged is expected to appear at Dundee Sheriff Court at some point today.
