A would-be robber broke into a Dundee house over the weekend. Police are appealing for witnesses to come forward. The incident happened on Coupar Angus Road, near the roundabout at Harefield Road, at 5.35am on October 13. The door was forced open, causing considerable damage. Officers suspect the culprit was scared off by the property’s alarm. The man is described as about 5ft 9in with a slim build. He was wearing dark clothes and was seen running away from the house towards Lansdowne Place. It does not appear that anything was stolen, although officers are waiting for this to be confirmed. Anyone who may have seen the man is asked to contact police, quoting reference CR/27368/19.
