A man was taken to hospital after the Porsche he was driving hit a crash barrier on the A92 in Fife at the weekend.
He was being treated at Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for what are understood to be serious, but not life threatening, injures after the incident near Lochgelly.
The accident happened on the northbound carriageway at around 10.20am on Saturday.
Crews from Scottish Fire and Rescue Service were called to assist because the casualty was trapped in the vehicle.
The man was cut free from the sports car and taken to hospital by ambulance.
A spokeswoman for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said: “We were called to a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A92 northbound between Cowdenbeath and Lochgelly at 10.43am on Saturday, October 19.
“Operations control mobilised three appliances to the incident and firefighters removed one male casualty who was trapped in the vehicle.
“He was stabilised and taken by ambulance to the Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy.”
