A Kelty woman was caught driving with nearly four times the legal alcohol limit in her system.
Jill Savage, 39, of Keltyhill Road, appeared in the dock at Dunfermline Sheriff Court.
She admitted that on July 31 in Station Road, Lochgelly, she drove a car having consumed excess alcohol. Her reading was 87 millilitres of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, the legal limit being 22 millilitres.
Depute fiscal Azrah Yousaf said Savage had driven home from the Thornton area.
Another motorist following behind Savage became concerned about her driving and contacted the police.
Sheriff Charles MacNair imposed a 16-month driving ban and a £400 fine.
