A 31-year-old man has appeared in court following an incident in Ballingry.
Part of the town was cordoned off and armed police were called to the scene in Kirktoun Street on Wednesday.
John Mullen, of Kirktoun Street, appeared on petition in private at Dunfermline Sheriff Court yesterday. It is alleged on October 23 at Kirktoun Street, he assaulted a man by striking him on the head to his injury with an unknown implement.
He is also accused of repeatedly shouting, swearing and making threats of violence. It is also alleged he obstructed two officers, refused them entry to his home and placed barricades over doors.
Mullen made no plea, was committed for further examination and remanded in custody.
