A rapist is back behind bars after again breaching conditions of an order aimed at preventing reoffending.
Stephen McNally, 49, admitted he failed to tell police officers monitoring him of his acquaintance with a woman and possession of a mobile phone capable of sending messages.
McNally, now in Perth prison and sentenced to 27 months, had regularly been walking a woman home from Burntisland pub the Silver Tassie.
Convicted of rape in 1998, McNally was subject of a sexual offences prevention order with notification requirements.
Kirkcaldy Sheriff Court heard there was no suggestion of inappropriate behaviour but Sheriff Jamie Gilchrist said the breaches were a serious matter and not McNally’s first.
