A woman has been taken to hospital following a two-car crash on a busy Fife road.
The accident closed the A915 Standing Stane road close to Kirkcaldy in both directions for two hours.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland, said: “Officers received a call at 7.30am this morning to a road traffic collision on the A915 Standing Stane Road involving two vehicles close Wellsgreen.
“Police and paramedics attended the scene and a female driver of one of the vehicles was taken to hospital.
“The road was closed for around two hours but has now reopened.
“Officers remain at the scene as part ongoing investigation into the cause of the incident.”
Due to a serious accident on the Standing Stane Road and services running with delays unfortunately the X37 from Fair Isle Road to Kirkcaldy Bus Station at 08:40 will not run apologies
