Fire crews in Fife have been called to free a female trapped in a car following a three car crash.
The incident happened shortly after 10pm yesterday evening on the A994 between Cairneyhill and Crossford, close to Dean Drive.
Police closed the road for around two hours while fire crews used specialist cutting equipment to free a female found trapped inside one of the vehicles.
A spokeswoman for Scottish Fire and Rescue said: “We received a call at 10.11pm on Saturday, November 9 following a three vehicle accident on the A994 in Fife.
“Three appliances from Dunfermline station were dispatched along with a heavy incident vehicle from Alloa.
“Crews used specialist hydraulic cutting equipment to free a female trapped in one of the vehicles.
“Fire crews remained at the scene until 12.12am before standing down.”
Paramedics attended to those injured at the scene and one woman was taken to Victoria hospital in Kirkcaldy.
Her injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
