Part of Fife Council’s busiest leisure centre is to close next month to allow for building improvements.
The gym area at Michael Woods Leisure Centre, Glenrothes, will close on December 2 as work starts on relaying the floor as well as installing new gym equipment, interior redecoration and adding new signage.
Stuart Bizzarri, gym manager for Fife Sports and Leisure Trust, said: “The gym will see new equipment, offering more variety and options for our gym customers and there will be improved free weights layout and equipment with upgraded racks and platforms.”
The improvement work is expected to take two weeks to complete.
