Firefighters tackled a blaze in a quiet village near Glenrothes for over two hours on Tuesday with one man treated at the scene.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were called to the incident in Laurence Park, Kinglassie, at around 5pm after receiving reports of a fire within a house.
Three fire crews attended the blaze which was extinguished at around 7.25pm.
One man was treated at the scene as a precaution by the Scottish Ambulance Service.
A SFRS spokesperson said: “Operational control mobilised three fire apparatus and firefighters extinguished the fire which has taken hold within a house.
“Crews extinguished the fire and left the scene after ensuring the area was made safe.”
