A proposed new restaurant, bistro and cafe in Cupar has been granted a licence to sell alcohol by Fife’s licensing board.
Number 10 in Cupar’s Crossgate has been given a provisional premises licence after board members heard how local man Glen Robertson, who is managing director of Watts restaurant, plans to open his newest venture next month.
The restaurant will have a restricted capacity of 100 after Mr Robertson ditched plans to extend a mezzanine level in favour of keeping the character of the building.
Anne Oliver from solicitors Innes Johnston, representing Mr Robertson, told the board: “Mr Robertson is an experienced licensee in the Cupar area and has been the manager of Watts in Cupar for a number of years now.
“It’s hoped the premises here will open in January and will be a positive addition.”
